Update July 8

Hallway Floor Renovation Affect Entry to Melcher Pool

Following is the information that I've received from Coach Lorin:
Swimmers:  Floor renovation work will be ongoing for the next several
weeks. For next week, I am assuming this means we will be entering the
building via the ramp to the right of our normal entrance, then
accessing the pool deck via the hallway on the men's side (close to the
diving board).  Below is the information we've been given by our
university contact:

"Phase 1: July 11-15. No access to the small area in between the pool
and the women's restroom.   Access to the pool will only be via the
"men's" side."

This will not affect workouts other than how you get into the pool.

COOG Swimmer Alan Pfeiffer-Traum is Highlighted on U.S. Masters Swimming Website
Alan, like several COOG Masters swimmers, participates in U.S. Masters Swimming's "Go the Distance" challenge. This is a free program where swimmers track their yardage for the year. Each month a  GTD swimmer is highlighted.  Check out his story:
This will also be added as the latest member spotlight on the COOG Masters Website.
